anyhoos, before the term started, I went over to lakeland to buy a dryer/airer/heater.
and they said it was supposed to arrive in 5-7 days.....
AND IT ARRIVED 2 DAYS AGO!

look at that. dries all my socks and shirts and towels and undies.... NO LOOKING AT MY UNDIES.

i think i wash my socks too much

its the bestest. now all my clothes are dried after washing.
usually I have to hang like, 5 pieces of clothing and it might not even dry out through the night!
with this, EVERYTHING is dried!
it's AMAZING.
best purchase so far.
until I get a ps3 that is. eheheheh.

my plan for this month is to save up 200 so that next month (february... which incidentally contains my birthday) I'll have enough money to get myself a gift!
it'll be the first birthday I'll spend without my family.

tho it isss a new year, I don't feel like anything's changed much. cos you know, school and all. feels much different in brunei.

so, I last stopped on the 6th, when it was snowing.
ahhhh. what bliss that was. watching snow fall.
but you know what?
I HATE SNOW NOW.
it froze up the next day. and so the sidewalk was slippery and I had to walk like a granny!
and even then I slipped up a couple of times. -.-
oh wellll.
the days after were normal school days. BOOOORIIIINNGGG.

I left for london on the 16th. ON A COACH!!! =DD
it was exciting to be using a new mode of transportation.
it's basically just a bus. dunno why they call it a coach. sounds like a taxi.
anyways, they bus had internett! innncredible!
the seats were comfy enough too. I was hoping for my own seat, but someone sat next to me. =(
but it's alrightttt.
my coach trip was at 10pm. i arrived in london..... at 7am.
i felt like a zombiiieeeeeee.

and what was worse is that I forgot to take out money from an ATM for the cab and brunei hall.
I ended up having justttt enough cash for the cab but no money for brunei hall. -_-
but no worries. i eventually got money to stay there.
and I got a room! hooray! thought it'd be too full for a room and I'd have to stay in the surau. but no worries.

the day I arrived was the first day of the winter games. which was mostly football. and netball(?).
not sure. I didnt go cos the thing was at 9 but I arrived at 7.
did NOT feel like going anywhere for a while.
but in the end, I went out for food. was hungraaayyyy.
then just went around paddington station and up and down edgeware road with syat.
at nightttt, we went to the WINTER WONDERLANDDDD. =DDDD

also, in our carriage was this couple. the girlfriend was wearing red shoes, a red jacket and she HAD A RED FACE.
i do not know why. probably a tan gone wrong.
then we went home. cos it was late. and nipple freezing cold.

second day was a bit more productive in terms of shopping.
we went over to oxford square to do some SHAAAPPIIINNGGG.
tho i didnt buy much. the girls did. I was like their bodyguard/translator/escort.
do you know that if a stranger says something to them and they don't understand, they go "zeeeez, apa cakapnyaaa???" and brings me forward.
as if me being good in english helps me understand slurred speech or heavily accented speech. -_-
anyways, I got myself a sweater anddd a nice, warm hat.
the place was also nicely decorated cos it was almost christmas.
made it fun.

thennn we had to go to winter wonderland again to bring our other friends there.
and then again came the coldness.

the nextt daaayyy was me going to hull.
but beforee that we went over to this little bakery called hummingbird.
they make THE BESTEST CUPCAKES TO HAVE EVER ENTERED THE PLANET.
theyy taste AMAZING.

this was the most laid back I've ever been in the UK.

today is the day that I will update my blog regarding of matters which have hitherto happened on days before today, this day and days of future days.

so. as always, not much happened over the week.
the biggest being my roleplay session anddd lab.

first off, roleplay.
god I was so dang nervous.
and I wanted to go second. to get it over with. I did not want to go last. cos there's just a lot of pressure.
when I wanted to go second, someone else took my turn.
and this continued on, till I was the last one to go. -.-
but HAH. in yo faces. i handled my 'patient' super well.
the situation was that she had Parkinson's. so she didnt speak very fluidly and her movements were slow.
when she entered the room, I asked if I could help with carrying her stuff. and she said yes.
then the talking, blablabla.
at the end, she said she was supposed to drop her coat on the way in. but she couldnt cos I had her coat. which she said was super nice and that that made me consultation better.
I'm so awesome. and nice.

the lab....
ughh.....
UGHHHH....
it was basically pipetting 20 MICROlitres of something into a little well as wide as a fingernail.
then waiting for 30 mins while someone gives us a lecture.
then results. which didnt show up. cos our lab tech was......... unhelpful, to say the least.
so all in all, i wasted my afternoon on that.
very disappointing.

had very high expectations from this movie. cos the trailer looked super cool AND it was from the producers of 300. a movie which i LOVED. and this movie is basically flying crap; the fact that it flies is kinda cool but overall, it is still crap. A 3!

saturday and sunday, usual weekend business. main netball but bula inda jadi cos nada orang main. so i studied at home. pretty productive day for me.

this week, as always, meh.
monday, pbl was okay.
tuesday, we went to a hospital way over at govan. wherever the hell that is.
and I walked to the hospital which took about 20 mins from the station. -.-
and guess what. TRIP WAS USELESS.
we were supposed to visit a ward of elderly patients.
this ward had elderly patients. with oxygen masks. and had pretty serious stuff.
so hell no we were getting in. even if we were, how would they talk. -_-

why should I talk to you when I have this window for company?

so it was a useless trip there.
wednesday, lab. was surprisingly boring this week.
today, nada. gonna go ngaji soon.

sunday, I went out to play football and netball.

i know. "ha-ha. what a girly ass skinny ass dude. playing netball. hey, why dont you get a barbie doll while you're at it?"

no, I kid. I just felt like I needed the sports. I havent done much exercise other than walking. I still have yet to go to the gym. I need a gym buddy. x]

monday, I got a new haircut!

and when I got in there, I went "so, i need a trim. i dont want it too short"

this week feels pretty relaxed for me. it just mostly learning about the shoulder. i already know the bones. now the muscles, tendons and ligaments. =D

which I hope will be as easy as they sound. x]

first 2 hours research and I've already got 50% down. yeaaahh!

oooh! and tadi was the most awkward VS class yet.
we were studying a bit on body language and stuff like that.
so! we had to do these exercises right.
first one, easy. STARE INTO 2 OF YOUR PARTNERS FACES FOR 2 MINUTES. NO TALKING.
both my partners were dudes.
that was fun.
that thought us on the importance of silence in a conversation. damn, silence. didnt know you were scary!

almost made it a twilight moment

next exercise. i have to explain to my 2 buddies there about this funn time i had.
but here's the fun part. my hands have to be under my legs.
and I decided to tell them about the time i was in a simulator.
which was like a stationary roller coaster.
how do i describe the movements?
moving around my body like a scarecrow in a hurricane.
yep. that was fun.

next exercise cali.
one of my friends had to tell a sad story right. but he has to tell it to my other friend.
but my other friend was instructed to not give a shit. so he sat there looking at other people. yawn. look down. and my friend who was explaining, got discouraged a bit. so he slowed down his story.

nextttt exercise is the awkwardest ever.
so. i pair up with someone else.
a dude, of course.
then, i have to hold their hands.

god I love weekends. dont you? 2 free days of doing absolutely nothing. =D

anywayss, I've nothing much to update on. and unfortunately, no pictures of anything. nothing much happened since wednesday.
maybe just a bit of an overview.
this week, we studied about bones. so we had to know their function, structure, types, etc etc and worse of all, THE NAMES.
there are 200+ bones in the body.
two. hundred. frickin. plus.

but we only had to know a couple. like the ones in the skull, the arms, the leg, the vertebrae and the hips. =D
it was a lot of memorising, but I think i got them down.
and the face has like a bunch of bones. -.-
stupid face.

ooh, and I just got my timetable for the other half of the semester.
and itt issssss HORRIBLE.
buutttt. there's only 1 month left in this semester. i'll end in late november. woohoo!
can't waittt to be going around UK in december-early jan. =D

mainly cos I've started going to the library in my free time (eseh) and I just forget to update.

recently, something interesting has happened.

I went to leicester over the weekend! =D
in conjunction with syat's (belated) birthday and also her moving in. aku bacakan yasin and doa selamat. am I awesome or whaaat. =D
I went on friday afternoon, arrived at night. it was a 5 hour journey. but it was worth it. *.*
leicester was fuunn.
one thing I love about the place there is the WARMTH. it was a really nice break from glasgow weather. =D
also, halal food is everywhere! bejurit baaahhh. so I was pretty amazed by that. lama udah inda di brunei bah. iatah sakai. =p
also, the city center is big and fun as well. =D
overall, I'd rate the weekend a 20/10! it was that great. =D

welp, lets start with satruday shall we?

spend the morning menalur, as always. patang ada open house arah rumah si farah.
we went there super early pasal si fillah (my housemate) pikir it was at 1. rupanya at 2. -_-
but it was alright. nothing lost. dapat sembayang sana and all so no worries.
it was fun. met lotsa new people. so it was all good. =D

sundayy. pagi kana bawa main bula. yay!
i waited for them for a while arah uni. and I saw some chipmunks! so adorable.
no, they weren't singingg. -.-

soo kami start main maybe about 10+, catu.
anddd masa main, I fell down. and both my knees were scraped. and bedarah. -.-
pasal the turf atu nya dorang mun rabah sikit, bedarah. so yeah.
didnt notice it at first. until the cold wind blew on it. and I was like, napa ia padih ani.

speaking of cold winds, inda bepaluh ah aku main! that's the first time.
selalunya I sweat out buckets.
also, pasal sajuk and inda warm up, tecramp. hahahaha.
so lame.
patangnya, I just rested. my whole body was down. so yeah.

mondayyy. pagi, nada banyak. patang PBL!
PBL was secaaaaary.
but it was alright. discussion saja kami alum brapa pandai. but we went through.
then we discussed a new scenario. where I was SCRIBE.
scribe mesti dangar everything and write them down on the boards.
it was okay. mesti pandai dangar important stuff and write saja. only the discussion is fast. so yeah.

tuesday, VS.
VS was quite okay. enjoyable, even.
we discussed Utility vs Futility.
macam, what do you do to a patient who can't be saved anymore?
do you work hours and hours to help him be comfortable?
or do you just let nature take its course.
something like that. so yes, it was very interesting. =]

patangnya I set up my newww... BOOKSHELF!
awwww yeahh. now my room looks organised. (finally) =D
DIY stuff is funnn. and manleh. so I quite enjoyed it.
ganya screwdriver ku bah. macam pinsil kuntut usulnya.
so screwing around (heheheh. see what I did there?) was a bit hard.
but I survived. =D

today was a totally turnaround from yesterday.
while yesterday was one of my unluckiest days (so far), today has been filled with sorta good luck. =D

so today, I woke up late. kinda. cos I had no classes till 3pm.
3pm would be my PBL meeting. every thursday afternoon, we meet up to discuss about our case.

SO! to start of the day, nooo chatting for me.
no sir-reeee.
I made some notes. =D for the discussion.
lots of good notes made. and I felt super productive. huzzah!

then came lunch time. I've been suuper hungry today.
woke up, ate 2 bowls of cereal. but they like fizzled through me. no effect.
then came lunch timeee. and I felt like eating something elsee. likee.. egg. *.*
so I went off... to cook for the first time!
so prepare for a nuclear explosion glasgow. cos the zeezster is about to cook!
and so I went to the store to get eggs and SALT to cook.
a professional cook whose identity i wish not reveal told me salt makes everything better.
it was syat.
anyways! my egg turned out fine. =D
AND I FORGOT TO USE THE FREAKING SALT.
but look at the dish I made! =D

made with advanced cooking skills such as rice-cooking, microwave heating and egg flipping. KAPOW!

so yeaah. then more note making, then off to uni for discussion.
which was pretty intense
and pretty over the top
and it lasted for 10 minutes.
yep. it lasted for literally 10 minutes. then we left. cos some people felt lazy and left. so we all left.

thenn I waited for the bus for like 10 minutes. i was on timeee this time, but no bus. :(
so I went to the bookshop to see if any labcoats were still around.
it was 3 in the afternoon. of courseee it was out.
but this time it wasnt! and I had just enough money to get one. =D
i got a labcoat! i am so sciencey!
then I went out the store.....
AND I SAW MY BUS.
so i dashed over there like forrest gump. and I made it. =D

so I hope tomorrow will go just as well. =]

hello again everyone. =D
yet again, my aim to post everyday has been thwarted.
by the evil doings offff.... school work. *.*
yes, I've started studying. and it has all been very interesting. =]

my ACTUAL lecture theatre

it all started off on monday.
unfortunately, it also started off on the wrong foot cos I freaking came in late. -.-
whyyy you ask? cos my bus was 20 mins freaking late! so yeah.
I almost got a cab. I already called them. but barutah ia datang. so yeah.
first lecture wasnt much. it was an intro to 'Phase 1' which is the first semester of Year 1. it's from now till november.
in december we have a one month school breaakkk. wheeeeeee.
then sambung skulah, we start phase 2. where we start having 2 pbl sessions per week. =\

PBL is Problem Based Learning. its a type of way to study.
they give us this text. like, for examplee. this week kana bagi about this boy who fell down masa main skateboard.
so we list out problems. like, when he fell down, he bled.
so we need to know what happens during an injury. and what happens after.
sooo we have to research about the mechanisms of healing.
thenn we also need to know about the skin. all the cells and layers and all.
and also, when he went to the doctor, he refused to be stiched up.
so we need to know how and when to get consent. in this case, from a child.
and thaaat, peoples. is what I have to do this week.
it is fun. but it's also kinda difficult. x]

the second day!
nothin much hereee. awal pagi ada a Vocational Skills session.
VS is where we study about ethics and communication skills.
we mostly just introduced each other in this class.
next class we get into theory and all. which sounds interesting. =]

patang ada a clinical skills session.
in this CS session we learnt how to measure blood pressure, pulse, breathing rate and temp.
blood pressure was a bit hard for me cos we needed to check the brachial pulse. which is the place that they get your blood from.
my partner, who was this dude, had huge muscular arms. iatah payah cari. -.-
buuuttttt. ujung ujungnya dapat. so yay. =D
nasib mun inda pakai needle. mun inda parai kali ia eh.

hold on sir. i think i found it.... nope. let's try again.

today!
it was horribllleeeeee. been very unlucky.
first offf. I woke up late. which might not mean much to youuu but meee. i wanted to talk to my family and syat. so me up late means no brunei connecting time. =[
thenn jalan to uni to get stuff. I had to queue up arah the bookstore 2 times cos I forgot some stuff anddd there was no medium sized labcoats for me. -.-
then i got an injection from that place where I'm registered to to get medical help. =D
that wasnt so bad. pasal aku karas atu kali. =p riiiiiiiiiiiiigggggggghhhhhhttttttt. kana tumbuk mati kali tarus eh.

thenn makan arah subway. AGAIN. lupa lagi bagi subcard tu. and the one I tried inda brapa.
then I went to the center to deposit some money in my newly made bank account.
tinggal tia jua papers ku ani. -.- so I had to wait kajap for them to get my account info and all. and then depositttt.
thennn, the crazy part starts.

you seeee. my bus is usually late. like, 5-10 mins late. and it only comes TWICE per hour. so if you miss one, you technically screwed yourself in the butt.
this bus which I wanted to ride on (heheheh) was the 12.15 bus. but as I said, it's usually late. so about 12.20+.
i finished at the bank around 12. the train takes 5 mins to get to my stop. I have to walk another 5 mins to get to the bus stop. which leaves me with a 10 minute window. pretty good right? WRONG.
i arrive at the train station. and my ticket was a bit (a lot) crumply.
and I put it in the machineeee. and it says "SEEK ASSISTANCE"

bet it was laughing it me too

so I was all, "whaaaaa"
then I sought assistance.
and this guy antah marah kali. ia buka the thing ganas and tutupnya jua ganas.
so I went doowwnnn. and the train took off right in front of me.
and you know what the sign said?
INNER CIRCLE : 10 MINUTES.

then the train arrives, got to my station.
all's well right? WRONG AGAIN!
it was RAINING HEAVILY.

and it was already around 12.17.
so i said, ef it, I'll run through this crap!
I did. my pants were soaking wet.
and I got to the bus stop. =D
butttt. the bus didnt come until 30 mins later.
I FREAKING MISSED MY BUS.
AFTER GOING THROUGH THE RAIN.

then I got home. WITH THE NEXT BUS.
showered. ate. went to uni. studied. now I'm home again.
good thing of all that isss.
the heater is on (finally) and I've bought some delicious yoghurt. =D
and that's the story of my week so far.
tomorrow's PBL review so I have to get ready for that. =D

I am soooo sooo sorry I didnt post anything the past few days.
why? because the WIRELESS FREAKING DISAPPEARED!
cos tetutup kali the plug or something.

cos the router is in my landlord's office downstairs.
which was LOCKED.
so yeaaahhh.
i was freaking internetless for a day! do you know how boring it is. to have nothing to do. and have no internet??? and no tv?? and no guitar??? DO YOUUU??
but now it's all goooood. =D

so on with the past 3 days!

onnn friday i only had 1 talk at 3-5.
it was reeaaaalllyyy good.
it was delivered by this guy called Prof. Phil Cotton.
he's suuuuuper cool. =D
anyways, it was about 'Being A Doctor'.
and in his talk, you know what he talked about?
Whoopi Goldberg in Sister Act 2.

it was funny aaannnddd very deep as well.
which isnt something I always listen to.
i look forward to more talks done by him.
he INSPIRES me. =D

saturday, I went out to the city aloonneee! =D
it was very very fun for me.
the city is liveeelyyy.

there was music and singing and dancing. it was great. =]

i went out to grocery shop and get some stuff for myself.
anddd i found many new places! =D
such assssss
a chinese take out place which sells halal food! tried it. need more.
new game shops!

and even more shops!
it was a good day.
it did rain a couple of times while I was out.

buutttt. unfortunately, when I arrived home, the internet was still down. throughout the night as well. so I had to sleep early. =[

today was an almost great day!

it is freaking AWESOME.
after playing around, I went to saiful's open house.
saiful's one of the seniors. he's supa cool. =D

hello a peoples!

today's the 3rd day the old zeester is alone in glasgow.
and today went pretttyyyy well.
well kinda. ok lah. above average. B+. A- lah.

i woke up at 7 tadi. then I chatted and played games with ajeeb sampaaai aku kan jalan ke uni.
at uni, there was a registration thing first. ramaaaaai yang ambil medicine. 200+ people!
it's a very intimidating number. its scary to know how many smarties I'm up against.
but that's meds. sooo I should get used to it.
registration, I had to register to some organizations. and I got a free medical dictionary! sweet.

blablabla, lunch, I went to subway. aloonneeee. :(
it was veryy lonely. cos usually i eat at home. and I chat with syat. but yeaaahh.
so I called the people back home. ada babu. =D
but kajap saja aku call. x]
thenn went back to uni. another talk till 2.30.
got another at 3, tapi aku sembayang dulu. I explored on my own kajap. and ada tejumpa the surau. =D

day number 2 aloneee in glasgow. and today was very relaxed. but less than yesterday's. x]

woke up at 7. chatted with syat, skyped with family, ate some FROSTIES.
damn frosties and the milk tastes better here.
anyways, I wasted like 4 hours with them. =D
loveee skyping to see everyone. x]

after that, off to uni to get my student card. which i thought would take a couple of minutes. turned out, it took like 20 mins cos the server was laggy. =\
buutttt. once I had my card, abiiiis. =D
then came the fun part.... a day alone in the city center! =DDD
I went around to get room stuff. like picture frames and a heater.
it was great to just explore on your own. you get to learn lots of stuff that you might miss if you go as a group. like where freaking puddles form! which, in glasgow, is a lot. so yeah. x]

but yeah. other than that, nothing much happened.
heater is on in my house. so that's really great. =D
tomorrow's the start of the induction into medicine!!!!

1st day alone.

hey there guysss.
so it was my first official day alone in glasgow.
had some things to do. mainly my health screening. which went through okay.
i had to take some bloods. and apparantly somehow my blood flow was slow or something? and she ended up having to poke me balik balik. sakit ah. -.-

effects after being poked with a needle. hurts more than what's shown. =(

then after that, on the way back, i just missed the bus for 5 mins. so I had to wait for another bus for 25 mins. sajuuuuuuuukk di luar. super windy as well.
they said ada a hurricane somewhere in the atlantic or something? and northern UK yang affected by it. so there's currently 50-60mph winds outside? i dont know. alum ku compare with my running speed if it's slower or sama. OAAAAA.

anyways, cos of that, aku inda jadi jalan tadi ke city center to buy stuff. so I was stuck in the house. all aloonneeeee.

no worries!
I played lol with ajeeb which was great and also sampat skype sama dorang. =D
spent most of the day chatting with syat.
and tadi aku ngaji after maghrib. felt great. =]

i have to go out tomorrow to get some stuff. hopefully this weather dies down by tomorrow afternoon. x]

so I had my MOE scholarship interview today.

I read a butt load of stuff for it. memorised lots of stuff too.

like, nama menteri kesihatan? Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Johan Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Haji Adanan bin Begawan Pehin Siraja Khatib Dato Seri Setia Haji Muhammad Yusof.

no copy pasting there. all brain work.

and so I was ready mentally for MIB questions. I memorised kuih kuih brunei, perambahan brunei, what happens during a wedding and all that.

I got there early. my interview was supposedly at 3.20, but I knew some people would take longer, so maybe 3.30. I got there by 2.50. and started revising and all.

then ada this chinese guy rush masuk with his MS folder with all his certs. then I talked to him and ia cakap ia tadi tinggal certs nya so ia rush balik. kesian. x]

so he went in before me. by 3.30, he told me it was my turn.

and theennnnn. there was only 1 interviewer. a lady. late 40s maybe. i was expecting at least 3. so I'm like, okay. it's all goooood.

and turns out, she didnt ask me ANY crazy mib questions! O_O

and I'm like, meds is awesome and I talked about my interview. she was impressed with it, so I talked about that more. it was going well.

then I had to read a text. reading reading, azan tiaaa. so I asked to stop skajap for the azan. hope I got extra points from that. =p

then, sambung baca, I didnt really understand the text. x] but I answered 2 out of 4 of her questions easily. the others, ia mesti explain sikit. thennn I could understand.

then ia tanya about why ECAs are important and traits a leader should have.

breezed through that. and that was my interview. =D

and to prepare, I took a few days off from my attachment. so I'm free till saturday. =D

which meansss.... LOL for meeee! yay. =D

I might be going to watch some pirates of the caribbean this sunday. so maybe I'll post a movie review. =]

I watched my first biopsy. =DD

it's where they take out a sample of a tumor or something to study.

and I watched the wholeee thing. the multiple injections at the beginning, then the cut, then more cuts, then cutting off a slice of tumor, thenn jait balik. it was very interesting. =]

i was supposed to go watch a bi-lateral cleft lip repair (how doctor-y do I sound? =p) surgery yesterday, but I had to study. it would've been veerrryyyyy interesting. but yeah, scholarship before attachment.

maybe next week. and hopefully, I can take pictures or something. would be great to post disgusting pictures of blood and organs for y'all. =p

so it's been like...3 weeks since I last updated? or something like that.

buutttt that's because I've been busyyy. =D

getting a driver's license and all has made me a busy busy man.

so let's get started.

first off, I've started 'working out'

but not in the way that'll make me buff.

but in the way that'll make me fit, yet gain appetite. =D

which involves swimming, eating, jogging anddd playing futsal.

hopefully, it goes well.

secondly, I just went for my first day of attachments! =D

it was veerrryyyy interesting.

unfortunately, I cant share any good stories with you guys. especially embarrassing ones. and let me tell you, there wereee. ehhheheheheheh.

but I've learnt lots of things.

like, did you know, in order to qualify to be an Oral and Maxillo Facial (OMF) specialist you need to have a degree in medicine AND dentistry? which is 5 MORE years of learning. which is crazy! and you know about kidney stones? well do youu know about SALIVARY GLAND STONES??? you do? oh, okay then.

so yeah, stuff like that. and I also participated innnn..... LAZOR-ING SCARS! :OO that was fun. I watched how the doctors lazered bulged scars and injected them to flatten them. and learn how they work. fun.

tomorrow I've another day in RIPAS. so I hope that'll be fun as well. =]

last night, we went to JPCC Ampitheatre to watch that chinese arts thing! :D

that was.... partly fun. it featured TONS of crazily gifted people. so it was entertaining.

i just wished there more features. like a hugee screen showing animations or a close up of that crazy flute lady's fingers while she was playing the flute. that'd be fun....

but anywaysss, if I were to rate it, I'd give it a solid 9! it was entertaining, but there was that lip-synching group...... so yeah. =D

I wasss planning on giving you a movie review, but it's of thor. and you've watched that shit right? it's awesome. 9/10.

so yeah, neww news for ya.

first off, I just had my my driving test in the morning.

with the awesomest examiner evaarrr!

so by this saturday, I'll have my license!

so you know what thaaat means....

nexttt... last friday, I went to a trip to miri with the family.

buuuuttttttt.

I did nothing. cept follow my parents around looking at furnitureeee. *.*

so I could've stayed home and did the exact same thing. in the comfort of my bed and blankies.

I felt reaaaalllyyy unproductive that day. so i was a bit upset. cos I had MIB work to do. for the upcoming MOE scholarship interviews. so yeaaahhh.

but it's all goood. i did my work. still more to be done, but that's something. =]

speaakingg of unproductivity, this attachment thing to RIPAS is taking too long to start.

I want to get it over withhh. if it's not happening, then I want to take... a job! *.*

cos this holiday thing needs more money than I expected.

hmmmm.... nothing interesting happened over the weeeeks.

other than me, learning how to drive. and get overtaken by a FREAKING BUS.

so there's a big piece of news I want to share.

remember the medicine interview I got for UBD a week back?

yeah, I was called for another interview.

but it wasn't for UBD.

it was for.... THE FREAKING SULTAN SCHOLAR! *.*

so naturally, I did what anybody else does when they're told they're eligible for the sultan's scholar.

I FREAKING FREAKED OUT, MAN!

what's worse is that the call was given A DAY BEFORE the interview.

and, I dont know what the hell was going to be asked.

so naturally, I was screwed. screwed straight in the butt.

it was at 1.30 on thursday.

i arrived there (yayasan building at kumbang pasang) at around 1.20 with mum and sister cos I'm such a mama's boy.

i was called upon at 1.50.

guess what I had to do? WRITE A FREAKING ESSAY.

for 30 mins. there were a couple of topics. you choose them randomly.

my topic was "what values made me distinguished from other people? how will these values help you with your career?"

so I wrote, for 30 mins. an essay. i didnt know how long it must be. I didnt know what they were looking for. but I wrote.

then after 30 mins, was told that my time is up. and they took away my paper.

i was then escorted to the first floor.

wheree guess what?

I was told to make.... A PRESENTATION!

another random topic, out of like 20.

this was waaaayyyy worse than UBD in a few ways.

one, I didnt know about the topic till then.

two, I was told to make a maximum 10 minute presentation in.... oh, not much. about 5 minutes.

three, all the points I wrote down to prepare for my presentation? yeah, the piece of paper I worked hard on for 5 minutes? yeah, can't bring that in with me. leave that shit out.

andd I was set for my presentation! =D

FREAKING HEEELLLLLLLL.

my topic was "is sex education needed for teenagers?"

so I went in, thought about my presentation.

IN FRONT OF 7 PEOPLE IN COATS AND SONGKOKS AND SHIT.

and the set up of the 'interview' was...

a HUUGGEE circular table.

me sitting on one side, 7 people on the other.

such fun times.

so guess how long this 'interview' is?

ONE GODDAMNED HOUR.

so I'll just give you the gist.

I did very well for the first... 40 minutes or so.

thennn kana tanya pasal MIB. and lots of MIB questions.

and that's where I died out.

made me go:

soo to me, it kinda sucked cos of the last part with the MIB. -.-

overall, I think I did a 6.5/10.

sooo wish me luck for that. =D

now I have to take an IELTS test cos my dad wants me to.

and I have to get ready for my UKCAT.

and tomorrow I have a 2 hour driving lessonnnn. yay. =D

I really feel like taking a job. i want some money. and the attachment thing is .....

gah. for once, I wish I had a one week lucky steak. *nods.

my stinking interviews are oveeerrrrrr!! =DD

and crap was I almost screwed over in it.

you see, they had sent an email to us.

which I did not receive in my inbox.

which contained VALUABLE information about the interviews today.

which I thought contained a "dear mr azeez. interview at 9 at PAPHSRB on thursday. thank you."

so I was like, nyeh, no email, so it's okay.

then today, I arrived, bringing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

and it turns out..... I NEEDED TO MAKE A FREAKING 5-MINUTE POWERPOINT PRESENTATION.

so I was like ...O_O........."

thankfully, this dude (who I'm going to call 'the bestest friend I ever had' and gayly, 'my hero') told me before the interview and lent me his spare pendrive.

whilee we were waiting, which thank god was like an hour, I made the presentation.

and I finished. =D but I didnt have time to rehearse. but whatevssss. I made an IMPORTANT presentation under pressure. so shaddup. =p

so there was 13 stations righttt?

from my bestest friend in the world, I found out beforehand that one of the stations was the presentation (but it uses 2 stations cos we needed 5 mins to prepare first), 4 of the stations were reading something followed by 4 stations of people asking about what we read (one of the was acting) and one of the about a picture. so that's... 9? yeah, 9 revealed. somewhat. which maybee sounded great, but... yeah. x]

so I was number 23, and I started from station 2. which was 5 minutes of talking about the country's health services. how they are and the strengths and weaknesses.

then station 3 was watching this video about how this doctor was talking to his patient. nothing much, he makes a few mistakes. the most obvious one is answering the phone while with his patient, and talking about going to the club to 'get smashed'. in my mind I pictured the hulk saying "HULK SMASH!".

then station 4 was interview talking about his wrongs.

station 5 was reading about this team of doctors who wants to help this model with surgery to save her. but the model didnt want no surgery cos it'll scar and she's vain. but they illegally performed the surgery anyways. and they were sued.

station 6, asking about the article. the problems involved and what should be done and what I would've done. the interviewer was happy with my responses. so I think I did well. =]

station 7 was the worstttt. there was these 2 pictures on the japanese tsunami. and the woman was pressuring me "so what's the main problem? so what's the main problem?" and it turned out to be the nuclear thing. and I was likeee..... okay.... didnt know that was the maaiiinnn problem. isn't destroyed towns and houses and everything important too? I guess not. -_- and then she was all "so how can we help? so how can we help?" and I was like... "by sending money?" and then went "how can youuuu help?" then I was like.... "by sending money?" and thenn she went all "tell me the specifics!" and I was like... "by sending money... to the red cross?"

and she was then all "so what can the government do?" and I was like talking about tabung amanah or whatever the name is to donate money and then she was like "and the military?" so I said "maybe we can send the military over there?" then sheee said "no no, the japanese government!" and I was like... when did we talk about that??? then the interview ended. did not think I did well there. -_-

it wanted me to go

next iss the presentation! mine was in station 9.

I spend 5 minutes getting my shit straight, and practiced how I'd say it.

but then I found another problem... everything I said was going to be relevant but..... if I did, it was going to take more than 5 minutes! so I had to talk a bit quickly at some parts during the presentation. and then during the presentation.... I talk too little and had a minute left at the last slide! so I just talked about stuff. anddd it went well. the presenter look pleased. especially to my mentioning of the twinning programme during soas years. =D

so I was happy that was over.

station 10 is reading about electrical acupuncture.

station 11, questions regarding the validity of it. people swear by it, but does it work? will I use it? stuff like that. and the interviewer, who was pretty cool, was pretty pleased about talking to me about it. so that went well. =D

station 12, reading about the scene in which I was going to act in. i put my poker acting face on.

station 13, the act was about 'my best friend' who was bulimic. I had to talk some sense to her, etc. wasnt hard. I mean, I used myself as an example. I'm skinny. does shee want to be skinny and unattractive? stuff like that.

thenn I went back to station 1. the interview there was different cos it takes 10 minutes. it was about being a doctor. qualities of a doctor, etc. and the interviewer was foreign. i think he was african. sometimes his accent wasnt comprehendable, but he knew and he repeated. he asked me questions like, how should a doctor be, or act. and about teamwork. he seemed pleased with my answers. so I guess that went well too. =D

and that's the end of my interviews. which took more than an hour. but I survived. =D

so for all that boringness, you get... a movie review! =D

the biomed people had 3 stations. each station had different questions. like there was this picture of rat with a human ear and they ask about it. stuff like that.

so you must feel my enjoyment right now, knowing I have to worry about 13 types of questions the people will be asking. so right now, I'm trying to brush up on general medicine news from BBC. hopefully, it'll help.

nexttt... i've a conditional offer from queen's university in belfast!!! =DDDDD

conditions are proper grades and 2200 score or above in UKCAT test. it's this aptitude test I have to take in july. I really hope I do good on that. my medicine future depends on itttt. x]

I've mostly been going to school to seek help with my uni things.

It's a but annoying but it's worth it. I've sent my UCAS application. references and all have been completed. all that's left is the wait.

I dont have much confidence about getting TONS of offers, I dont have that much confidence about getting one offer, but I hope I do get one.

so I've been pretty busy with the applications to unis.

I've been driven around to photocopy stuff, to send stuff, to ask stuff.

but have no fear!

cos soon I will have.... a license! =D

just got my provisional license, whatever that is.

it's ugly.

but with it, I can legally drive on roads!

and behind it are the vehicles which I can, and hopefully will drive. =D

which includes:

traktor beroda/wheeled tractor

otosikal dan motosikal/autocycle and motorcycle

which means that licenses areee.... AWESOME!

did you know taxis are not normal cars? they're a category of their own? like buses. cool.

so soon, I shall start studying road rules. how fascinating.

then I shall take the exam.

then I shall pass.

then I shall learn how to comandeer an automated vehicle.

and the rest shall be history.

as for my future, I do hope I go to the uk, but I don't mind staying in brunei as well. as long as I get to become a doctor. =D

nothing much, story-wise. normal adventure-gone-wrong-then-right-then-wrong-again movie.

but some of the jokes in there were absolutely hilarious. =D

it's a new week.

but it's the last week for 2010.

so get your resolutions sorted cos you won't listen to them start new year! =D

so I'll start this post by talking about miri.

we went there on friday morning.

left home at about 9.30? something like that.

so sadly, I had to wake up early on a friday. =\

oh wells.

we arrived in miri at around 12, just in time for the prayers.

so dad parked the car arah ngiukee, the girls went to shop for a while and we prayed.

then after that, kami makan arah dave's deli which has the most awesome gravy and coleslaw in the entire planet. nyum.

it makes me wanna go

after that, headed over to the hotel to check in and rest.

then off to parkson!

parkson was fun. we spent like... 5 hours there. and all we did was:

buy A game. winning eleven 2011.
bought famous amos cookies. which took forever cos of a slow cashier.
got starbucks' drinks. I got tasty hot chocolate. ajeeb and adib got ugly stuff. =D
ate at mcD.
test out mattresses. one of them felt like heaven massaging your body.
bought glasses.
oh, and I got origami paper. cos I havent done any in years.

so far, I've done a dinosaur (aweesomee) and a cat with a huge head and small legs. weird.

and that was the parkson summary. =D

then balik, liat crita, tiduuuur.

speaking of which, I watched a mythbuster's episode.

the myth they tested was "are elephants afraid of mice?"

and the answer?

HELL-FREAKING-YES.

next day, dorang si adib and ajeeb swimming.

I didnt want to cos aku ngalih. and the pool ruins my hair. and I didn't bring my shampoo. so yeah. =D

then kami makan arah this place for breakfast. which made the crispiest and awesomest roti canai ever. buuttt the dhal wasn't awesome. so I still prefer CA mohd.

then kami ke parkson for something. me and ajeeb bought COD:Black Ops. =D

it's awesome. crazily so.

then kami check out the new mall there. not many shops open, so kami inda masuk. we just checked the outside.

then balik to hotel to pack and check out.

theennn we went to boulevard where si ajeeb bought new futsal shoes. and we ate at kfc.

kfc spicy chicken is awesome btw.

and thenn kami baliiikkk. =D

arrived back here at around 5.

and that was my miri trip.

an awesome start to a wednesday.

first and foremost, the most important news of the week.

my lovely laptop! yay. :D

very lucky that the place I sent had an extra charger port thing. so I didn't have to wait 2 months. instead I just had to wait for 2 days after sending it.

now it's back and I will take super good care of it.

and it was really fun.

so yesterday I went out with syat and watched narnia.

wanted to watch rapunzel but get this (adeeb style).

on their website, it said there's the 1 o'clock show and the 3.30 show.

and since we cant make bookings nor pick up tickets earlier than the showday, we'd have to just trust their website.

since 1 is too early, 3.30 it is.

i came at 1.30. rapunzel was at 11.15 and 1.15.

and narnia was at 1.30. so what the heck. narnia it was.

it was alright. a normal adventure movie.

kind of disappointed only 2 of the original cast was there. but it was good I guess.

that's cos my laptop went busted. again.

but this time, the charger port's all messed up. so yeah.

it'll take up to 2 months for a spare to come around. which is... AROUND MY BIRTHDAY.

no guitar hero, cos we only have metalllica and they're playing either GH5 or GH:WoR.

and no halo, cos we only have the bad halo3:odst.

also, we can't download good shit cos we aint got no money to buy some microsoft points.

today was different.

we actually went out of the house! :O

so the holidays have just started for some people.

still, their express means O level in 2 years.
